Family Run, Friendly Dental Practice in Harley Street, London

PortraitAllan Thompson, Declan's father, originally established a dental practice at 40 Harley Street in 1947, retiring at the age of 78 in 1986. Declan returned to London from his postgraduate studies in Prosthodontics in Indiana, USA, in 1975 and set up a practice at the same address, alongside his brother Nigel Thompson and brother-in-law John McCormack. Dentistry continues in the family with his elder son Bryn, who graduated from King's College, London, in 2002.

The Practice is Small, Friendly and Family Run with Declan's wife Marion, a qualified radiographer, running the practice, alongside dental surgery assistant Justine Gyer.

High-quality treatment is provided, with Declan working together with highly skilled dental technicians with whom he has worked for many years: Michael Prosser for gold and ceramic work, and Anthony Coe for partial and complete denture work.

The practice is run in a homely and informal environment, welcoming new patients, and is ideal for the apprehensive, though sedation is offered for those who require it. Children are always welcome; indeed, some families are in their third generation in Declan's care. Declan is proud to offer long-standing family dental care, alongside seeing more advanced cases referred by specialist colleagues.
